HOLY WEEK CELEBRATION
Beloved in Christ,
May I invite you to make Holy Week a time of Spiritual renewal.
On Palm Sunday, we begin our procession from the fellowship hall with palms to commemorate Our Lord’s Triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
On Tuesday is the Chrism Mass with the Bishop in Owensboro. In this Mass there will be Renewal of Commitment of Priestly Service, Blessing of the Oil of the Sick, Blessing of the Catechumen and Consecration of the Oil of Chrism.
On Holy Thursday, we will celebrate with great joy Jesus’ institution of the Holy Eucharist, our sacrifice and sacrament.
Mass of The Last Supper – 6:00 PM
On Good Friday, we will recall the Passion and Death of Jesus.
Stations of the Cross – 12:00 Noon
Liturgy of the Passion and Death of Our Lord – 6:00 PM
The Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday evening is the Mass of the day in which we receive the new members in the Holy Roman Catholic Church. The vigil is the first celebration of Our Lord’s Resurrection. Christ is our Light.
Holy Saturday / Easter Vigil Mass – 8:00 PM
Easter Sunday Masses 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM
Please make a special effort to get to each of these Holy Week Liturgies. They offer us great spiritual riches. It would be a shame to miss out on the special graces of these days.
